The Ribbon Interior marble was another deliberate experiment, this time using the glow glass. The halves of the marble are made from clear and transparent steel coloured glass, with a layer of 'glowbalt' sandwiched between. The composite is then twisted and smoothed, revealing the spiral form of the opaque layer through the transparent halves. The effect in enhanced in this marble when viewing it in the dark, as the luminosity of the opaque layer creates a wonderful effect as it interacts with the shape and even the flaws and bubbles of the transparent parts.
