Marbles II (2011)

A second session of the Marble Making Workshop at The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, this time with a lot more experimentation on my part. I bought some glass to try things out with, including a some millefiori pieces and a couple rods of glow glass which is luminous in the dark after being exposed to light. Following are the marbles from this workshop, which I think are overall less successful - I overused black glass and hurried in an attempt to make more, which decreaded the quality of each. However, trial necessitates failure to create improvement, and I am happy with some of the experiments, so I consider this workshop another success.
