The Cane bead requires first that you make some twisted cane. This is similar to how a twist marble is made, only instead of returning the form to marble shape, you pull and twist the glass into a long rod. The colours form a spiral twisted pattern along the length of rod, like a peppermint stick. For this bead I made a white double-cone base bead and then wound the cane around it, melting some in and leaving some raised. I use the remainder of this cane in one of the cylinder beads, as well as making a second cane of other colours that also ended up in a cylinder bead.
