Pendants I : The Alchemy Series (2012)

Another session of the Marble Making Workshop at The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, diverted into pendant making for the most part (the initial formative process is identical for both object types). There was a lot of experimenting with new glass stock on my part in this session, and in the spirit of experimentation, the results are named after terms that originate in alchemy. This was also my first time using the implosion tool, a set of metal spikes that pushes layers of glass up into the creations. So you'll see some pendants that use this tool, as well as two marbles.
